Scaling advanced therapies for limited markets
What new models can carry advanced therapies forward when traditional markets cannot? Advanced cell, gene, and tissue-engineered therapies are progressing rapidly, yet their complex value chains and high development costs no longer fit established commercial pathways. As private investment retreats, European university hospitals are exploring cooperative, non-profit, and public–private approaches to sustain innovation and ensure patients can access these breakthrough treatments. This session examines emerging institutional and funding models that could secure the future of advanced therapies and expand their impact across health systems.
