What does it take to keep a city a decade ahead? In this keynote, delivered at Frontiers Science House’s roadshow event in Dalian on the sidelines of the Annual Meeting of the New Champions (AMNC), Abdulaziz AlJaziri explains how the Dubai Future Foundation works to keep Dubai ten years ahead. Sitting at the center of government, the Foundation functions as a think tank, R&D arm, and innovation team all at once, while also running the landmark Museum of the Future to show the public that the future is positive and full of opportunity. Al Jaziri also previews the Foundation’s forthcoming Global 50 report: the assumptions and open questions shaping the next 50 years, ten megatrends, and the 50 opportunities they could create.
